Join us for our next summer shutdown walk
A relaxed evening photo outing from the shopping centre, through the railway station and on to the CBS Arena, finishing with slow-shutter photography on the footbridge. With sunset at 20:38, there should be a great opportunity to capture light trails and evening atmosphere.
Walk Focus
• Slow-shutter photography, street scenes and architectural details
• Images suitable for possible inclusion in the Coventry Festival Gallery
• A friendly social walk with time to chat, explore and experiment
Photographic Ideas
• Light trails from passing traffic and evening movement
• Leading lines from walkways, railings and station architecture
• Reflections in glass, metal and polished surfaces
• Abstract details, textures and repeating patterns
• Wide shots at blue hour to capture the arena and surrounding atmosphere
Equipment
A tripod and a wide angle plus a standard lens would be ideal, especially for slow-shutter work on the footbridge.
However, any camera or lens setup will work — the emphasis is on seeing creatively rather than having specialist kit.
