A very warm welcome to Jaguar Photographic Society. One of the oldest and most active clubs in Coventry, we have been in existence for over 40 years. We have long since become independent from Jaguar Land Rover, but still welcome photography enthusiasts at all levels from our spiritual home, as well as from Coventry, Warwickshire and the surrounding areas.

Demonstrations, practical outings, competitions, studio shoots and presentations are organised to suit all interests and abilities. Additionally there is a monthly meeting where several local photographic clubs combine, to form the Mercia group, where a big name lecturer is booked to give a talk or presentation on a range of photographic subjects.

Feel free to drop in on one of our club nights, to see what we get up to, and meet with our members. But do check the programme first to make sure where we are on that particular evening.

We have members with a whole variety of skills and interests. From newcomer to semi professional, from wildlife to studio to sports, indeed almost everything.

We like to keep our photography fun but also keep learning from one another.

The club run a series of internal competitions, each with their own awards, for members to share their images in both print and digital form:

Merit Competition over 4 rounds during the season
Annual Print and DPI Competitions
JPS Panel Competition
Newcomers' DPI Challenge

Additionally our Photographer of the Year award is a league based award designed to reward consistent performance across the competitions.

We also compete in occasional external competitions.

We need 24 images, 2 in each of the following12 categories:

In detail, Street Life, Light / Dark, Textures, Metallic, Movement,
Front doors, Decay, Hedgerows, Joy, Glass, and People at work

So get shooting and lets have as many images as possible to choose from.
