SUMMER BREAK 2 – Birmingham

Jaguar Photographic Society Summer Walk
Birmingham 17 June Timings below
ICM, Street and a walk and chat
Our next summer shutdown walk takes us into the heart of Birmingham for an evening of photography, conversation and creative experimentation.
Birmingham is full of strong shapes, reflections, lights and movement, making it an excellent location for ICM, street photography and architectural detail.
The plan is to meet at Canley Station for the 18:48 train, arriving at Birmingham New Street at 19:15. Parking is free and available on both sides of the station.
If you are making your own way to Birmingham New Street, please meet the group by the giant Ozzy the Bull statue on the main concourse at 19:30.
If there are any issues on the night, please keep an eye on Facebook for updates. If you are running late, call Martyn on 07715497202 or Robert on 07730 403109.
ICM prompt ideas
• Vertical sweeps of tall buildings
• Reflections in glass and metal
• Movement around commuters and crowds
• Evening lights and colour trails
• Bold shapes and lines at the Library of Birmingham
We hope to take in some of the iconic architecture around New Street before heading on a short walk to the Library of Birmingham, giving plenty of scope for both creative abstracts and more traditional city scenes.
Possible photographic opportunities include station architecture, commuter movement, reflections in glass and metal, evening light around the city centre, strong lines and shapes for ICM work, candid street scenes, and the striking exterior and interior views around the Library of Birmingham.
Weather dependant
Everybody Welcome
