Competitions and Challenges

Developing Together

Club Competitions

At Jaguar Photographic Society we run a series of internal photographic competitions throughout the season for both projected digital images (PDI) and printed images.

Competition winners are awarded a trophy and or a certificate at our annual awards evening.

Our competitions aren’t just about winning: they are a supportive way to help develop your photographic skills, no matter your level of experience.

Merit Competitions

Judged by members, the Merit Competitions are held over three rounds and are for both PDI and printed images.

Annual Print and PDI Competition

These competitions are held towards the end of the season and judged by an external judge.

Panel Competition

Members enter panels of images that blend together. The competition is judged by an external judge and is for both PDI and printed images.

External Competitions

JPS regularly enters regional competitions and competitions against other photographic clubs.

Challenges

Throughout the season, we create challenges for members.

These are specifically designed to be fun and also push members boundaries and encourage them to try something different.

Creative Project

Members are encouraged to plan and shoot a series of images on a set theme.

Post Processing Challenge

This fun and creative challenge explores how post-processing can transform an image.
