The Soul Of The Creator

Paul’s talk tonight is entitled The Story of The Creator

It explores the idea that all photographs are a collaboration between the photographer and their subject, but more than that they are the joining of all of the people who have ever had a part to play in creating the subject. As photographers we often look at our subject in a possessive way but we forget that the subject is not something that can be possessed it is, and has, a free spirit that can gift anyone with the time to pause, patience and the ability to see in an open minded way the unique beauty that is offered. Photography as an art form is not a painting by numbers exercise, it is a full expression of the love a person has for the moment.
