SUMMARY:Merit Competition Round One
DESCRIPTION:The first round of our Annual Merit Competition. Members will be asked to submit up to 2 dpi (digital photographic images) and 2 prints on any subject. The only provisos being they must have been taken within the last two years\, and not having been in one of our competitions before. \nAdditionally one dpi can be submitted into the “Set Subject” category\, the theme being decided at our first meeting on the 4th September\, and these images must have been taken since then. \nThe images will be shown live tonight and all members present will be able to vote for the winners using our voting “app”. \nYou can find more information via the links below. The Photoentry System will be open from the start of the season for all your entries. \nRules  Voting Themes

We will have all our studio equipment available\, together with a variety of potential subjects. If you wish to bring your own then please do so\, you get to eat the props afterwards\, at your own risk. Macro lenses and tripods will be useful.

There will be over 50 prints on display covering a wide range of subject matter by current members of the Society. \n The opening times for the exhibition\, which is being held in the Theatre’s main entrance and bar areas\, are  \nTuesday 1st October – Thursday 31st October 2024 \nMonday    – 10:00am – 7:30pm \nTuesday   – 10:00am – 8:00pm \nWednesday – 10:00am – 8:00pm \nThursday  – 10:00am – 8:00pm \nFriday    – 10:00am – 5:00pm \nSaturday  – 10:30am – 1:30pm \nSunday – Closed.
