Welcome back to members from last year, and welcome also to new members. Tonight we will be running through the new programme and how it's going to work in these awkward times.
And for a bit of fun, we will have a live quiz for you - based on photography, but definitely light-hearted.
Following our successful visit earlier this year, we are planning this return day trip to the Hathersage area in Derbyshire, to catch the heather in blossom.

All of us have been to Chesterton Windmill - probably on many occasions. So how many different ways are there to capture this iconic landmark? This evening we will be sharing shots from this local landmark, discussing the myriad of viewpoints and enjoying a feast of lovely photography. Even though we hold regular competitions, most of us have many beautiful images that never see the light of day. Here is an opportunity to put some of your favourites into an online exhibition. JPS regularly create studio and portrait sessions in the clubhouse using our studio lighting setup. Shooting in this environment can be can be quite difficult for novice and more experienced members alike. The first round of our Annual Merit Competition. Members will be asked to submit up to 2 dpi (digital photographic images) on any subject. The only provisos being they must have been taken within the last two years, and not been in one of our competitions before. Share with us photographs on one of your favourite topics. Short (15 minutes or so) "lecturettes" by members have, in the past, provided unusual and fascinating insights into members' hobbies, adventures, holidays or just particular styles. We have had them on subjects as diverse as Ice Hockey, Cities, British Landscapes, Motorsport, Trains, and Weird (?). The Photographic Alliance of Great Britain (PAGB) runs a number of respected national competitions. This evening's presentation will comprise a run through of many of the winning images from last season's mono print competition.
