DESCRIPTION:Each one of us makes different interpretations of a scene\, when we take photographs and when we tweak them later. A light hearted but interesting evening where members will be asked to submit some images for others to post-process. We will then be able to look at the results and see the variations that can be achieved\, or just the recovery of difficult images. \nImage requests will be sent out in the weekly newsletter nearer the time.

The selection of our overall favourite image for the Annual PDI competition from the 6 options chosen by the external judges over the last two weeks and then\, depending on the time we have left\, one or two of our members sharing their passion. \nFor the PDI selection you will need your phones and we will conduct the standard Merit style judging system. \n \nAfter the PDI selection Penny Simpson will be taking a look at external competitions and the awards you can gain\, in particular the BPE Crown Awards (British Photographic Exhibitions)\, what they are\, how to go about it and other related things. \n \nOur second talk will be from Alex Frost\, he will be Exploring the Yorkshire Dales and North Yorkshire Moors. \n \nIf you want to show some of your images one evening let us know.

DESCRIPTION:The first round of our Annual Merit Competition. Members will be asked to submit up to 2 pdi (Projected digital images) and 2 prints on any subject. The only provisos being they must have been taken within the last two years\, and not having been in one of our competitions before. \nAdditionally one pdi can be submitted into the “Set Subject” category\, the theme being decided at our first meeting on the 3rd September\, and these images must have been taken since then. \nThe images will be shown live tonight and all members present will be able to vote for the winners using our voting “app”. \nYou can find more information via the links below.
